As a non-profit counseling and social service agency, Jewish Family Service is dependent on the giving spirit of our Orange County community in order to support its services to over 7,200 people each year.
The board of directors, staff and volunteers invite you to consider giving to Jewish Family Service. Be our partner in making a difference in the lives of children, families in crisis, older and disabled persons and individuals who are depending on Jewish Family Service for support and guidance. Your options for giving are:
- Families in crisis need your help! Special appeal donation - The current economic turmoil has inflicted severe hardship on families who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on their tables. Your donation will provide immediate cash assistance for families in crisis as well as life skills counseling and employment coaching to help families move out of their precarious situations - a "Hand Up" to support their dignity and well being.
- Direct Giving - You may write a check or use a credit card for making a gift to Jewish Family Service. We will put your dollars to work as we improve the lives of people seeking our assistance in navigating life's rough roads. Now Available...our on-line giving program!
- Tributes - Is there a precious person or special occasion in your life that you want to honor? A birthday, anniversary, wedding, bar or bat mitzvah or an exceptional accomplishment? Perhaps you want to honor the memory of a deceased friend or loved one. You can do so with a financial gift to Jewish Family Service. We will acknowledge you, the donor, and notify the person(s) that you identify without identifying the amount of the gift. Tributes may also be done on-line.
- JFS Endowment - In cooperation with the Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Orange County, Jewish Family Service sponsors an endowment fund program. A donor may arrange for gifts in one's lifetime or gifts by a will and/or a living trust.
- Donations of Used Goods *- In cooperation with the Salvation Army, you may now donate used goods on behalf of Jewish Family Service. Your donation will assist families in need of basic necessities. You may contact the Salvation Army Dispatch Office at 714-758-0414, immediately press 1 and then dial extension 241# or 244#. Let them know "you are donating your goods on behalf of Jewish Family Service of Orange County," or contact Jewish Family Service at 949-435-3460 or 714-445-4950 for more information.
