Women Forward

The Women Forward program assists women in transition to become financially self-sufficient. Through a blend of personal counseling to remove obstacles to employment and direct employment coaching, the Women Forward program supports the client’s entry or re-entry into the job market. The agency and the client are partners in developing a plan of action leading to the person’s employment and self-sufficiency.

This program is partially funded through the generosity of the following individuals and organizations:

The Roslyn & Joseph Baim Family Foundation - Community Foundation of JFOC - Fainbarg Family Foundation - Jewish Federation Orange County - Marisla Foundation - Margaret E. Oser Fund for Women

Three Steps to Independence

A Letter to Jewish Family Service

"I was referred to your agency from a domestic violence shelter.  My life was in chaos and I didn’t know where to turn.  I came to JFS’s Women Forward program.  With caring guidance from your social worker and employment counselor, I enrolled in a legal assistant training program and found a job in a local law firm.

Today my children and I feel safe and secure.  We are moving on with life, and please know how grateful I am for your kind and caring assistance."

P.G., Irvine
